MOLOCH

a fashion editorial and video for Kaltblut Magazine

‘Moloch’ is a multimedia project with photography at the forefront. It interprets the idea of a subtle armour, both literally and metaphorically. The subject identifies with the settings of a strange, industrial nature, desiring to withdraw from the ‘system vs individuality’ battle before their spirit and means of expression are crushed by unforgiving modern machinery. The video translates the poem ‘Moloch’ into the visual language of social media content using self-recorded snippets and low-quality camera footage to imitate an artificial sense of intimacy.
